How to cut the Hasselback potatoes?
Wash and clean the potatoes. Don't take out the peel since we need the skin on. The skin gives a nice crispy texture to the fluffy potato and also it helps in holding the shape of potatoes.
First, take out a small portion at the base giving it a flat base. Now Place the potato in between two chopsticks. Now hold the potato and cut them lengthwise into thin slices (of 1/2 inch thick) until the knife touches the chopsticks. Make sure you won't cut the base part. It may look complicated to cut them, but this is really easy to cut once you get the technique correct. Lastly, fan out the slices slightly making space for any stuffings or seasonings.
