If you're looking for an easy way to make hard-boiled eggs, you will love the air fryer. With just a few minutes of carefree cooking time, you'll have perfect eggs every time.

Plus, the air fryer cooks them evenly so there is no need to worry about them being undercooked or overcooked or worry about water overspilling, and making a mess in the kitchen.

    Air Fryer Hard Boiled Eggs

This is a high protein healthy snack, perfect to add to any meal or menu. Serve as a single snack or as a side to the chicken or other meaty meal. One of the healthiest breakfasts that will keep you full for longer.

Air fryer hard-boiled egg is a great way to make a healthy and delicious snack. All you need is an air fryer and some eggs. No other preparation or chopping is required. You can make your frittata and omelet also in the air fryer easily. If you love eggs you must try them in the air fryer.

Once you make them in your air fryer, you will never come back to any other method of making hard-boiled eggs. Here you just need to set the eggs in the air fryer basket and set your temperature and timing. That's all you will have to do. Once done, cool them and peel off the skin. Peeling the skin also seems easy in air fryer-boiled eggs.

    What all do I need?

Eggs - Choose your eggs. Maximum up to 1 dozen eggs or 12 eggs in a single batch.

Ice water - to cool down the eggs and stop overcooking

Additional Seasonings - salt & black pepper

    Instructions -

First, preheat your air fryer to 270 degrees Fahrenheit. Then, place the eggs in the air fryer basket and cook for about 15 - 17 minutes depending on the doneness you want. I cook mine for 17 minutes though.

Once the eggs are cooked, remove them from the air fryer and let them cool before peeling. To cool immediately, transfer the cooked eggs to a bowl of iced water. This will stop overcooking the eggs.

Sprinkle some salt and black pepper and enjoy your air fryer hard-boiled eggs!

Tips to make perfect air fryer hard-boiled eggs

    1. Set your timing perfect depending on your desired doneness. Again all air fryers cook slightly differently with reference to timings. So first few attempts get your timing perfect.

    2. Use an ice water bath. This will stop the eggs from overcooking. However, this is not necessary to do this. You can wait for a few minutes to allow them to cool naturally. But make sure they won't be overcooked.

    3. Cook in a batch of 10 - 12 eggs but make sure there is space in between for the air to flow.

    4. If the egg has brown spots, don't worry about it. It's not a sign of burnt or overcooked eggs.

    How to serve?

You may serve this as a snack alone that is rich in protein and vitamin D.

Serve this with air fryer toast or bread for breakfast. Add to any meals as sides. Serve as sides to your chicken thighs or chicken drumsticks.

    How to store?

Hard-boiled eggs refrigerate well for up to 7 days peel on or off. If peels on storing them in the box open or covered. If peels are removed, store them in an air-tight container closed with a lid.

These can be freezer-friendly but only the yolks and not eggs. The white part becomes rubbery and not nice in taste when stored in the freezer. To store the egg yolk separate the whites and yolks. Transfer the yolks to a zip lock freezer bag and freeze for up to 3 months.
