And when it comes to cooking chicken in an air fryer, drumsticks are the way to go. I fell in love with my air fryer when I cooked my chicken in the air fryer. It's so amazing, cooks the chicken so perfectly.

Ingredients You will need
Chicken drumsticks - with skin or without skin. For crispier drumsticks consider with skin on it.
Olive oil - to marinate the drumsticks
Seasonings - salt & pepper, garlic powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, or any favorite seasoning
Baking powder/ flour - add flour and baking powder to make the pieces crispier. Add a little of flour and baking powder, just as 1 - 2 tsp. That much is enough to make the drumsticks crispier.
However, if you don't want to make them crispy, skip the flour/ baking powder. I have tried without flour many times and they turn out very nice.
How to Make Chicken Drumsticks in The Air Fryer?
It's really easy to make the drumsticks in the air fryer. Marinate or only rub and cook the chicken in the air fryer.
- Wipe drumsticks dry
Wash and clean the drumsticks. Wipe the pieces dry with a clean kitchen towel.
- Season the drumsticks
Place them in a mixing bowl. Drizzle some oil followed by the seasonings and baking powder, flour. Toss to mix well.
- Marinate for 10 - 20 minutes
Cover the bowl and let it sit for 10 minutes.
- Air Fry
Preheat the air fryer at 400 F for 3 minutes. Start the air fryer at 400 F for 10 minutes. Flip the drumsticks at 10 minutes. Then cook again for 10 minutes.
How to store and reheat them?
To store, place the pieces in an air-tight box. It stays good for up to 5 days. To reheat, transfer the content to the basket. Cook at 360 F for 5 - 6 minutes.

Cook drumsticks for 20 minutes at 400 F. Flip them after 10 minutes. Cooking time may vary 2 - 3 minutes depending on the type and size of the air fryer.

- 1 lb chicken drumsticks skin on or skin less
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 - 1 tsp paprika depending on preference
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper or chili paper
- 3/4 tsp bbq seasoning or any fav seasoning
Instructions
- Wash and clean the drumsticks.
- Wipe the pieces dry with a clean kitchen towel.
- Place them in a mixing bowl.
- Drizzle some oil followed by the seasonings and baking powder, flour. Toss to mix well.
- Cover the bowl with a cling wrap and let it sit for 10 - 15 minutes.
- Preheat the air fryer at 400 F for 3 minutes.
- Start the air fryer at 400 F for 10 minutes. Flip the drumsticks at 10 minutes. Then cook again for 10 minutes.
- Serve hot once done.
- Note- Drumsticks/ meat shrinks as it cooks. Check for the size of drumsticks. Also meat is cooked when the meat thermometer shows 165 F temperature.
