Who doesn't love potatoes? I love potatoes as much as I love chicken. They're versatile, delicious, and perfect for any occasion, any party, or any meal. Diced potatoes are so easy to cook in the air fryer, and they come out crispy and golden brown every time.

Plus, there's no need to add any oil, so they're a healthier option than traditional fried potatoes. And best of all, they only take about 15 minutes to cook, so you can have a delicious side dish ready in no time.

    Air Fryer Potatoes (Diced)

An air fryer (affiliate link) is an awesome kitchen countertop essential that cooks everything so perfectly including the potatoes. It won't be wrong if I would say the air fryer cooks the potatoes the best and that includes oven-baked also.

The air fryer cooks the potatoes perfectly crispy outside yet fluffy inside. I love these air fryer potatoes, no matter they are diced potatoes, baked potatoes, Hasselback potatoes, or the potato cakes even. It's so good and perfect.

    Ingredients You'll Need

Potatoes - any type of potatoes is good for this recipe including baby potatoes or baby red potatoes.

    Olive oil

Seasonings - Salt & black pepper. You can add garlic powder, smoked paprika, or any other seasonings of your choice for a kick of flavors too.

    Lemon Juice - Optional

How to cook diced potatoes in the air fryer?

Clean and wash the potatoes. You can keep the skin on or remove them as you prefer. I prefer to keep the skin on since it adds a little crispy bite to the potatoes.

Dice the potatoes into bite-sized pieces. Wash them off once they are diced to remove the excess starch. If you want a crispier potato bite and have some time in hand, you can also soak them for 10 minutes in ice water. This will help in making the potatoes crispier by removing the excess starch.

Now wipe off the pieces with a clean and dry kitchen napkin. Then drizzle the olive oil followed by the seasonings of choice. Toss them well to mix.

Preheat the air fryer to 400 F for 3 minutes. Then transfer the seasoned potatoes to the air fryer basket. Cook for 10 - 12 minutes with shaking at 5 minutes intervals. If you want more brown and crispy diced potatoes, cook for 14 - 15 minutes.

    Pro Tips -

Make sure the basket is not overcrowded. Though it doesn't matter if some of them are overlapped with each other.

For crispier potatoes soak them for 10 minutes minimum in ice-cold water. However, you can skip this step also. The air fryer makes the potatoes crispy but they may turn soggy when cool. So if you want them to stay crispy for longer, then soak them for a few minutes.

Add any seasonings of choice to the diced potatoes. My favorite go-to spices are garlic powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, oregano, parsley, or Italian seasonings or cajun spice blend.
