If you're looking for a quick and easy way to reheat pizza, look no further than your air fryer. This is tried and tested many times in my kitchen and every time I love my air fryer the more. The air fryer not only makes the crust as crispy as it was fresh baked, but also makes the toppings also taste the same with even cooking through the slice.

    How an air fryer functions?

Air fryers are gaining popularity these days, and it's no wonder why. Once you get to start cooking in the air fryer, I bet you will find ways to cook more with it. I bet you!!

An air fryer is a versatile kitchen appliance that can cook all kinds of food, from chicken thighs to French fries. You can make everything in the air fryer that you make in your oven since both use the same technology to cook food.

In the air fryer, the heat waves rotate inside the air fryer with help of a highspeed fan within. The hot air cooks the food oil-free and makes them perfectly crispy and it's much faster than a traditional convection oven.

It comes in different sizes and types. So depending on type and size, the recipe time may not be the same for all the air fryers.

And yes, not only you can make everything, the air fryer gives best of the results in reheating the food. You can make your pizza in less than 10 minutes in the air fryer and even use an air fryer to reheat the day old pizza to taste to taste as fresh as first day.

How to reheat pizza in the air fryer?

Pizza is one of those foods that always seems to taste better the next day. But reheating pizza in the oven can be a bit of a hassle, and sometimes it can dry out the crust or make the cheese hard/ burnt.

If you're looking for an easier way to reheat your pizza, you must try it in the air fryer. Air fryers are the perfect way to reheat pizza because they heat it up quickly and evenly without drying it out.

So, how do you reheat pizza in the air fryer? It's very simple and you just need to set temperature and time.

Just preheat the air fryer to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and place the slice of pizza on the air fryer basket. Cook for about 2 - 3 minutes, or until the crust is crisp and the cheese is melted with bubbling. Thin crust will take 2 -3 minutes where as the thick crust will take 3 - 4 minutes.

How cool is that!! Not heating up the kitchen in hot summers, no long waiting time, and no over dried/ soggy pizza crust. And, the best thing, your pizza is ready fresh in just 2 - 3 minutes.

How To Reheat Pizza In The Air Fryer

Why air fryer to reheat the pizza?

Air fryer is way better than oven and microwave - oven takes longer and microwave makes the crust hot but soggy. There are several benefits to reheating pizza in an air fryer -

    - It's a quick and easy way to reheat a slice of pizza.

    - evenly reheats the pizza so that you don't have to worry about hot spots or too dry or soggy crust

    - Using an air fryer to reheat pizza helps to keep the cheese nicely melted

Do I need to preheat my air fryer?

I do preheating for 2 minutes. Though it's optional and you can add that time to your cooking time. Many brands recommend preheating and many don't. However, preheating helps me in getting correct judgement on cooking time of any recipe.

For this recipe, i.e. reheating the day old pizza, if preheated it takes 2 minutes time and if not preheated 3 - 4 minutes (depending on thickness of the crust).

Do I need to use parchment paper?

No it's not required or necessary. However, if you feel the cheese may melt down and stick to the basket, you may use the perforated air fryer parchment paper only. Check out here "Can you use parchment paper in the air fryer?"

Tips On Reheating Leftover Pizza In The Air Fryer

Place the slices in the basket or tray without overlapping or stacking. The cheese after melting may stick together otherwise.

Using parchment paper is optional. You may or may not use the parchment paper. If you use use the specific air fryer parchment papers only.

Air fryer temperature may vary by 1 - 2 minutes depending on the air fryer type and the crust thickness of the pizza. However, 3 - 4 minutes is ideal temperature. You can pause and check inbetween to get your time correct for the first time.

Be careful while taking out the hot reheated pizza. Use a tong or a broad spatula to pick it up.

After reheating, don't forget to clean up the air fryer. Just remove the basket and wipe it down with a damp cloth. Then, using a brush or toothpick, remove any food particles from the heating element. Finally, wipe down the inside of the air fryer with a damp cloth. That's it! Using a parchment paper may save this step probably though.
