Air Fryer Onions - An easy and unique way to make sauteed onions. These are healthier sauteed onions as compared to the traditional way. Use them up in any other recipe or serve them as a side itself.

- 2 red onions
- 1/2 tsp oil
- 1/2 tsp salt & pepper
Preheat the air fryer to 400 F for 3 minutes.
First, start by peeling the outer layer of the onions.
Then dice them or slice them to 1/4 inch thickness.
Place them in a mixing bowl and add oil and seasonings. Toss to mix.
Then, add the diced onions to the air fryer basket and cook for 6 - 8 minutes depending on the size and thickness of the onions.
Don't forget to shake them halfway through. You'll know they're done when they're tender and starts to caramelize by changing color to a brownish tint.
To make caramelized onions, reduce temperature to 360 F and cook for another 7 - 8 minutes.
Don't cut them very thin since they will burn quickly.
